Know Your Customer (KYC) checks confirm that the people renting and hosting on VVAHID are who they say they are. This protects both sides of a booking and meets our obligations to prevent fraud, identity theft and misuse of the platform.

Every renter and every host, before their first booking or listing. Additional checks may apply to high-value vehicles or unusual activity.

• Full name and CNIC number, with images of the card.
• Driving-licence details and image (for renters).
• A selfie or liveness capture for face matching.
• For hosts: bank or wallet account details in the host’s own name.
• Contact number and, where relevant, proof of vehicle ownership.

• Document authenticity and expiry validation.
• Identity confirmation via NADRA Verisys — see NADRA Verisys.
• Face match between the selfie and the CNIC photo.
• Name consistency across CNIC, licence and payout account.
• Screening against fraud and abuse signals.

A pass unlocks booking and listing. A referral means we need a clearer document or a second check. A decline is issued where identity cannot be confirmed or a serious risk signal is present; you can contact support to understand a decline.

KYC records are held under restricted access and encrypted. Verification images are deleted once a check has passed and any related dispute window has closed; identifiers needed for audit and legal compliance are kept for the period Pakistani law requires. See the privacy policy.
