The basic checklist
Requirements vary by provider, vehicle and insurance arrangement. Confirm them before travelling to collect a car rather than relying on a generic checklist.
- A valid CNIC or accepted identity document
- A valid driving licence for the person who will drive
- A payment method and any required refundable security deposit
- Trip dates, pickup point and an emergency contact
- A written record of the agreed price, fuel rule and mileage limit
At handover
Photograph all sides of the car, wheels, fuel level and dashboard mileage. Make sure existing marks appear in the handover record before accepting the vehicle.
Do not drive if the documents, vehicle condition or agreed terms differ materially from what you were shown. Resolve the difference in writing first.
